In addition, during the update, the manufacturer added a fast charging system to its model, which allows you to replenish the supply of electricity from 0% to overcome 200 km in just 5 minutes. It is worth noting that its competitor from Volkswagen cannot boast of such technology.

Aion Y is the fourth model of the GAC electric vehicle sub-brand, a compact model for the C segment, the purpose of using interior space, first-class technological achievements and modern design.

Judging by the style of GAC Aion Y, it is addressed to young buyers. The electric car received orange accents on the body and wheels, stylish front optics with vertical DRLs, wide wheel arches with plastic lining, hidden door handles and original wheels. In terms of dimensions, the model is similar to the Volvo XC40. In length, the novelty reaches 4410 mm, in width - 1870 mm, in height - 1645 mm, and the wheelbase is 2750 mm.

The five-door Aion Y of the GAC concern entered the market only a year and a half ago and was excellently accepted by customers: more than 102,000 such machines have been sold in China for all the time! Last summer, demand reached 11-12 thousand pieces monthly. And still, this hatchback has already undergone significant modernization. The fresh model Aion Y Plus is not intended to expand the range, but to completely replace the base electric car.

The Plus prefix in this case means an increase in size: the length has been increased from 4410 mm to 4535 mm. The wheelbase is the same (2750 mm), and almost the entire increase went to the rear overhang, and there was no serious reshaping of the body: the roof and side panels are the same, but the fifth door and the rear bumper have become more voluminous. This allowed to increase the volume of the trunk by 39 liters.

We also worked on the design: Aion Y Plus has new headlights and a different front bumper with a smaller air intake. The rear lights are now united by a jumper, the trunk threshold has become lower, and the area for the license plate has moved from the bumper to the fifth door. There are also a lot of changes in the cabin, although the general appearance is the same. All handles and buttons have disappeared from the central tunnel, now there are only cup holders and niches for gadgets.
