At the Beijing Motor Show in 2020, the Chinese concern FAW presented a new SUV under his super -luxury brand Hongqi. In the hierarchy of National Chinese Hongqi, Hongqi is located at the very top, its status is comparable to cars in the USSR. The brand has been history since the 1950s, representative sedans have been produced under it for the needs of members of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the country. Since 2018, FAW has been conducting a course for commercialization of the brand-under it they will produce a wide range of prestigious electric vehicles of different classes created primarily for the consumer market, not state orders. The novelty of the brand is called Hongqi E-HS9-this is a full-size SUV with a purely electric power plant. The model is considered the flagship of the developing line of Hongqi SUVs.

The new “Chinese” has an expressive and memorable exterior. Futuristic decisions (drawn hands, “clean” sidewalls, LED optics) are combined here with classic proportions - a long bow and a doster cabin. The appearance of the machine is largely repeated by the Hongqi E115 concept car, which was introduced in 2019. The style of both the serial electric car and the show-kara was created under the guidance of Gilles Taylor, the former Rolls-Royce Cars, chief designer, which FAW lured in 2018. The length, width and height of Hongqi E-HS9 is 5290, 2010 and 1731 mm, respectively, the wheelbase is 3110 mm.

In the cabin of the E-HS9 there are natural finishing materials (leather, fine wood, polished aluminum) and three LCD displays (instrument cluster, multimedia, microclimate).
