BYD has introduced the 2023 Dolphin electric hatchback in China. The electric car is made in the style of Marine Aesthetics with a completely European design in the spirit of Volkswagen I.D electric vehicles, built on the BYD E-platform 3.0 platform and equipped with a solid-state traction battery.

Dolphin is built one e-platform 3.0 with BYD blade batteries integrated into the battery housing, eight-in-one electric drive, a high-efficiency heat pump with a wide temperature range and fast charging. Dolphin's ability to sell well has a lot to do with its superior performance. The Dolphin not only features BYD e-Platform 3.0 technology, but also features blade batteries and a class-exclusive heat pump air conditioning system that performs well in terms of safety and range.

The BYD Dolphin is not a design marvel, especially since the traction battery is located under the floor, but the 2,700 mm wheelbase of an electric car that is only 4,070 mm long is a very good ratio. With small dimensions, it should be quite spacious inside. The width of the electric vehicle is 1770 mm, height – 1570 mm. Wheels in the base version are 16-inch, in the top version - 17-inch.

The electric vehicle is equipped with a multifunction steering wheel, a 5-inch screen in the instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch diagonal display on the front panel, electrically adjustable front-row seats, front parking sensors and a rear view camera, and a tire pressure monitoring system.
